Link directly to a Folwell tab

On UMRA.UMN.edu we use tabs to organize different types of past events. I would really like to be able to link to a specific tab. People expect to be taken the the specific type of event, and get confused when they see the wrong type. See https://umra.umn.edu/archives/News_Events. The menus seemingly don't work.

Links to anchors won't call the javascript that is flipping visibility of the tab's content. The same behavior can be seen if doing the same sort of linking to accordions. The link to the anchor is working but the content of the intended target tab or accordion is not revealed.
